As a Real Estate Professional in any given week I can encounter a variety of situations.

Some days it is a first-time buyer just entering the real estate market. This can be exciting, emotional, a learning experience, and eye-opening! I remember buying my first home and thinking I knew exactly what I wanted and then realizing there were more (or less) important things than I had ever thought of! Now, years later, I use that experience as well as my many years in the industry to help first time buyers see the big picture and explore all of the options available to them! With the recent stimulus package there are so many more reasons ($8,000) for first time homebuyers to buy now! The $8,000 tax credit does not have to be paid back! It is also an exciting time to work with others that I see during a typical week in my real estate business. Often times I encounter relocation buyers – people who are moving to the Plano area, usually with a job transfer! These buyers usually have a short window to learn about our area and to find a suitable home and neighborhood. Since Plano is my home, I love to show people around and help them find the area and home that best meets their needs!

Another situation I encounter often is the buyers who have raised their families and are now seeking a smaller home with less maintenance! These buyers often times know where they would like to live be it on a golf course, closer to grand children, or maybe in a quieter area of town. Again, my knowledge of the area and communities comes in handy; but also my knowledge of the financial side of this business can most useful to these buyers.
